POWER – To Know Oneself

ree

What is Power? What makes a person truly powerful?

I’ve thought about this for quite some time. The first thing most people would say is that power means strength. But when I looked deeper, I realized that true power has more to do with your internal state of mind than with any external factor.

Power cannot simply be acquired. Yes, you might hold a highly successful position and have a commendable career, but does that really make you powerful? A king sitting on a throne who, deep down, does not feel like a king will never have a lasting impact on his kingdom. With power comes respect — and respect can only be earned when you are able to respect yourself.

When I began my spiritual journey, I felt helpless and hopeless about my outlook on life. Over time, I understood that my nature had to change — that my thinking and perspective were the anchors to my sadness, not what others had done to me. When I shifted my focus inward, instead of on other people, I began to feel lighter and more in control.

Over the years, my mental state grew more positive, optimistic, and healthy. My perspective changed, my behavior changed — and in time, my environment changed too.

How?

It happened when I broke free from the lack mindset. I gained control over my thoughts, emotions, and feelings. I developed a new respect for myself, knowing I was not the victim. I learned I could stand for myself, speak my truth with confidence, and refuse to be manipulated or controlled by others.

That’s when I began to believe: lead the chaos, don’t be led by it.

For the first time, I felt truly “powerful.” And in that realization, I understood that real power is an inner state — something cultivated within, not handed to you by external circumstances or material gains.
